Job Description

As an Employment Legal Director in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will join a growing team within a highly regarded national employment practice. You will advise a diverse client base on complex employment matters, develop strong client relationships and play a key role in business development and mentoring junior lawyers.

Description

\n

The Employment Legal Director will be:

\n

\n

* Providing strategic and commercially focused employment advice to a broad client base

\n

* Advising company owners, managers, HR professionals, in house lawyers and senior executives

\n

* Handling the full range of employment matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals and redundancy

\n

* Advising on complex Employment Tribunal claims, including whistleblowing and discrimination matters

\n

* Working on corporate transactions, including TUPE and restructuring matters

\n

* Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and other employment documentation

\n

* Advising clients on investigations and wider employee relations issues

\n

* Building and maintaining strong, long term client relationships

\n

* Developing relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders across the wider firm

  • * Supervising junior lawyers while contributing to business development

Profile

\n

The Employment Legal Director should be:

\n

\n

* A solicitor with 8+ years PQE in employment law

\n

* Experienced across a broad range of contentious and non contentious employment matters

\n

* Strong technically, with experience handling Employment Tribunal claims

\n

* Experienced in advising on TUPE, restructuring, redundancy and complex employee relations matters

\n

* Commercially minded with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice to clients

\n

* Maintaining senior client relationships

\n

* Comfortable supervising and mentoring junior lawyers

\n

* Able to contribute proactively to business development and practice growth

\n

Job Offer
