Client Onboarding Legal Executive

Join my clients dedicated Client Onboarding team, where their focus is on delivering outstanding client service through expert, clear advice and assistance. We are looking for a Client Onboarding Executive to assist with the management of the client onboarding process, focusing on client due diligence (CDD) and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Perform in-depth CDD and AML checks on new and existing clients to assess their risk profiles. \n
- Ensure that client documentation and information are accurate and up to date. \n
- Investigate and analyse client backgrounds, business activities, and ownership structures. \n
- Identify and escalate any high-risk or suspicious client profiles to the AML compliance team. \n
- Implement and enforce AML policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with UK regulations. \n
- Work directly with the team to create clearer and more robust onboarding processes. \n
- Monitor and report any unusual transactions or activities to the AML team that may indicate potential money laundering or fraud. \n
- Keep up-to-date with evolving AML regulations and implement necessary changes in the client onboarding process. \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive onboarding experience. \n
- Communicate CDD and AML requirements to clients and guide them through the process. \n
- Address client inquiries and concerns related to CDD and AML. \n
- Maintain accurate records of all CDD and AML activities, ensuring they are easily accessible for audits and reporting. \n
- Prepare reports on CDD and AML compliance for senior management and the AML team as required. \n
- Work closely with the MLRO, COLP, COFA, and AML team to implement best practice across the firm. \n
- Promote good file management and undertake other duties as required from time to time. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree. (Preferably Law) \n
- Proven experience in client onboarding, CDD, and AML within the legal services sector. \n
- Strong understanding of CDD and AML procedures. \n
- Excellent client care skills. \n
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex legal issues. \n
- Strong organisational skills. \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. \n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. \n
- Strong attention to detail. \n
- Familiarity with Practice Evolve, Practical Law, and LexisNexis is advantageous. \n
