I am working exclusively on behalf of a well-established UK financial services organisation seeking an experienced General Counsel.

This is a Board-facing leadership opportunity for an exceptional legal professional with significant experience operating within UK regulated financial services.

To be considered, you must have:

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (England & Wales) with significant post-qualification experience.
\n
• Extensive senior in-house legal experience within banking, building societies or financial institutions.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to UK deposit-taking institutions, including PRA, FCA, SM&CR and Consumer Duty.
\n
• Experience advising Boards and Executive Committees on complex legal, governance and strategic matters.
\n
• A proven track record of leading legal support through organisational transformation.
\n
• Strong corporate governance experience. Company Secretariat experience is advantageous.
\n
