Legal Cashier

Ambition is delighted to be partnered with a respected Law firm based in Central London. The firm provides specialist legal services to private and commercial clients. You'll be joining a collaborative accounts team of nine, which includes cashiers, revenue controllers, and a management team, with this role reporting into the Head Cashier.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, understands the importance of compliance, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit finance function.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Processing client and office receipts and payments
\n
• Handling client-to-office account transfers
\n
• Processing and paying counsel and professional fees
\n
• Posting invoices via Land Registry, Court fees, and Companies House online portals
\n
• Processing outward CHAPS and faster payments
\n
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
\n
• Processing purchase ledger invoices
\n
• Managing employee expenses and credit card transactions
\n
• Resolving client residual balances.
\n

You will need experience in:

• A minimum of two years' experience within a legal accounts or legal cashiering function.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and related regulations.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
\n
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload effectively.
\n
• Confident liaising with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, while recognising when to seek guidance or support.
\n
• A professional, conscientious, and proactive approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality work.
