We're hiring for an Logistics Project Manager (or Operational Project Manager) based at Heathrow Airport, supporting a major £700m+ baggage and infrastructure programme within Terminal 2.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client on a complex, high-profile infrastructure project, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of construction operations and logistics across one of the UK's busiest transport hubs.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• You will lead, plan, organise and oversee all construction delivery and logistics activities across multiple work locations within Terminal 2 and associated logistics facilities.
\n
• Acting as the principal contact for supply chain partners, alliance contractors and the Heathrow client team, you will coordinate logistics planning, material movements, waste management, temporary traffic management and workforce forecasting.
\n
• The Logistics Project Manager (or Operational Project Manager) will also represent the programme at strategic logistics meetings, ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders and maintaining alignment with project requirements.
\n
• You will work closely with construction teams, logistics providers and airport operations to ensure efficient site access, deliveries and operational readiness while driving a strong health and safety culture throughout project delivery.

Requirements

Essential

\n
• Recent experience in a similar role within a large-scale infrastructure or construction project environment.
\n
• Proven experience leading, organising and managing operational teams.
\n
• Strong logistics, supply chain and stakeholder management experience.
\n
• Experience managing Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 subcontractors and suppliers.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience working within airport, transportation or major infrastructure programmes.
\n
• Knowledge of logistics planning systems, workforce forecasting and construction delivery operations.
\n
