AV Manager
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced AV Manager to take ownership of AV services within a prestigious, high-profile organisation in Central London.
\nLeading an established onsite AV team, you’ll be responsible for delivering a consistently high-quality AV service across a busy environment encompassing live events, conferences, meetings, presentations and hybrid collaboration.
\nThis is a varied position combining technical leadership, people management, AV strategy and hands-on operational oversight. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, event teams, clients and technology partners while helping shape the future direction of the organisation’s AV technology and services.
\nThe Role
\nAs AV Manager, you will:
\nLead, motivate and develop an established team of AV Technicians.
\nTake ownership of day-to-day AV operations and overall service delivery.
\nOversee AV support for live events, meetings, conferences, presentations and hybrid sessions.
\nEnsure the reliable operation of professional AV, video conferencing, collaboration and digital display technologies.
\nPlan AV resources and technical support around changing event and business requirements.
\nIdentify opportunities to improve AV systems, processes and the overall user experience.
\nEvaluate and recommend new AV hardware, software and emerging technologies.
\nManage technical incidents and ensure issues are investigated and resolved effectively.
\nOversee AV maintenance agreements, suppliers and third-party technology partners.
\nManage AV procurement and budgets, ensuring strong value from technology investment.
\nWork closely with internal event, facilities and technology teams.
\nAct as a senior AV point of contact for stakeholders and external clients.
\nProvide technical guidance and training to colleagues across the organisation.
\nDrive continuous improvement and maintain consistently high service standards.
\nAbout You
\nWe’re looking for an experienced AV professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership and customer-facing skills.
\nYou’ll have significant experience within professional AV environments and be comfortable taking responsibility for both the technology and the people delivering the service.
\nYour experience should ideally include:
\nProfessional integrated AV systems.
\nLive events and conference AV.
\nHybrid meetings and video conferencing technologies.
\nAV-over-IP technologies.
\nNetworked and professional audio systems.
\nAV control platforms.
\nSupporting IT and network infrastructure.
\nManaging and developing AV Technicians or Engineers.
\nAV maintenance and support contracts.
\nSupplier and technology partner management.
\nAV procurement and budget management.
\nTroubleshooting complex technical and operational issues.
\nWorking with senior stakeholders and external clients.
\nA CTS qualification or equivalent professional AV accreditation would be highly desirable.
\nYou’ll be an organised and proactive manager who can balance longer-term technology improvements with the demands of a busy operational AV environment.
\nJust as importantly, you’ll be an excellent communicator who can explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences and remain calm and professional when supporting high-profile or time-critical events.
\nThe Package
\nc.£50,000 per annum + 19% pension + excellent direct staff benefits
