Construction Legal Counsel - In-House (FTC)

Location: Greater London/Hertfordshire

Contract: 12-18 Month Fixed-Term Contract

The Opportunity

A leading real estate development business is seeking an experienced Construction Legal Counsel to provide hands-on legal support across a portfolio of development and construction projects.

The role will work closely with development, technical and project teams, advising on construction-related matters and managing drafting, negotiation and contractual risk across live projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction documentation.
\n
• Advise on construction risk and procurement matters.
\n
• Support project teams on contractual and commercial issues.
\n
• Manage legal matters independently with minimal supervision.
\n
• Liaise with external legal advisers where required.
\n
• Support building safety and remediation projects where applicable.
\n

Experience Required

\n
• Qualified Solicitor with strong construction law experience.
\n
• Extensive experience advising on:
\n
• JCT contracts
\n
• Design & Build contracts
\n
• Professional appointments
\n
• Design agreements
\n
• Collateral warranties
\n
• Construction documentation generally
\n
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
\n
• Ability to work autonomously and provide practical, commercial advice.
