We want you to think big, to solve challenges, and positively impact our clients.JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking a candidate for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Research Technology team within Investment Technology. You will work closely with other members of IT including other developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to design, develop, test, implement, and support solutions to meet business requirements, and will also interact with members of our Investment Platform in architecting world-class research and collaboration capabilities. You will be faced with compelling challenges and encouraged to solve problems by using innovative techniques. You will work with and learn from exceptional technology and business professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments.RESPONSIBILITIESContribute to the delivery of high-quality investment research solutions, including participating in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment and supportWork with business teams, engineers and business analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plansDesign new prototypes and develop new software components based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web and mobile clients, infrastructure and back-endWork across various IT teams to coordinate and facilitate infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and cross-functional projectsModify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize for performance and maintainabilityProvide technical guidance across initiatives to ensure capabilities are developed with latest methods and to the highest standardsImplement AI-driven solutions to enhance workflows and optimize productivityAuthor architecture, technical design, and support documentation and ensure the adherence to established code-quality standardsEnsure stability of production systems by implementing tools for observability, data quality, and alerting, as well as providing hands-on support during on-call rotationsQUALIFICATIONS7+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications and services using JavaScript or other relevant enterprise technologies (e.g., Java, .Net)7+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing complex web services using REST, TypeScript, JavaScript/NodeJS, Jest, Java, Python or related technologies5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications using HTML5, CSS and modern UI frameworks such as React or AngularExperience with, and a demonstrated understanding of, modern software development and testing methodologies such as Artifactory, GIT, and Jenkins CIExperience developing applications with AWS cloud technologiesIntermediate-level experience with SQLExperience with various software development methodologies, such as AgileFamiliarity leveraging AI in SDLCDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a non-technical audienceExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to manage conflicting priorities effectivelyDemonstrated ability to understand complex concepts and to learn quicklyAbility and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical production environmentAbility to work independentlyAbility and willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environmentBS or BA degree in computer science, math, physics, statistics or another related subjectExperience in a relevant financial domain is a plusNot sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
