\nTake ownership of UK tax within an international professional services environment
\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join the expanding Finance team of a leading international law firm in Leeds.
\nReporting directly to the Group Tax Director, you'll play a key role in managing the firm's UK tax compliance, advisory and reporting activities, while working closely with accounting teams across Europe and Australia.

\nThe role
\nYou'll take responsibility for a broad portfolio of UK tax activities, combining hands-on compliance with advisory work, process improvement and stakeholder management.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Managing the preparation of UK LLP Group tax returns, including income tax computations and corporation tax returns. \n
- Supporting the Group Tax Director with UK direct tax compliance across the LLP Group. \n
- Working with finance and accounting teams across the UK, Europe and Australia. \n
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns for UK VAT-registered entities. \n
- Preparing the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement and coordinating associated tax payments. \n
- Monitoring changes in UK and international tax legislation and assessing their impact on the business. \n
- Providing advice on emerging tax issues and supporting the wider Finance team with tax-related queries. \n
- Taking the lead on tax audits, including liaising with relevant tax authorities and implementing any required changes. \n
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline tax compliance processes. \n
- Providing tax guidance and training to colleagues across the business. \n
- Keeping up to date with developments in tax legislation, accounting standards and international tax requirements. \n
What we're looking for
\nWe're looking for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional who can confidently manage their own workload while working collaboratively with colleagues across an international organisation.
\nYou'll ideally have:
\n- \n
- ATT qualification or another relevant tax/accountancy qualification. \n
- Previous experience in tax and accounting, ideally within a professional services environment. \n
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and experience working with UK tax compliance. \n
- An understanding of international tax legislation and the ability to assess its impact across different jurisdictions. \n
- Experience with VAT, corporation tax and/or partnership tax. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively. \n
- The confidence to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-tax specialists. \n
- A proactive approach to identifying improvements and making processes more efficient. \n
- A commitment to ongoing professional development. \n
