\nA well-established precision engineering business in Telford, part of a respected manufacturing group with 30+ years' heritage, is looking for a skilled 5-Axis CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join its team. The company manufactures high-precision components for the semiconductor, scientific instruments and medical sectors genuinely varied, high-value work to exacting quality standards (ISO 9001).
\nThe role:
\n- \n
- Setting and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines Mikron with 20,000rpm spindles \n
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances, right first time \n
- First-off and in-process inspection \n
- Machining precision components across a range of materials for scientific and medical applications \n
- Turning capability a bonus there's an idle lathe that would suit an all-rounder happy to split their time \n
We're looking for someone with:
\n- \n
- Proven 5-axis milling setting and operating experience \n
- Heidenhain controls ideal but a genuinely strong setter/operator on other controls will be considered, as the crossover is quick for a good machinist \n
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances \n
- A background in precision, subcontract or high-spec manufacturing \n
- Any CNC turning experience a welcome bonus \n
