\nWe are seeking an exceptional Deputy Head - Business, Innovation & Partnerships to support the Commercial Director in delivering high-quality adult learning provision that transforms lives, meets employer demand and responds to local skills priorities.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FE leader to drive curriculum performance, quality improvement and operational excellence across a growing portfolio including Adult Skills Fund provision, Distance Learning, Sector Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs) and subcontracted delivery.
\nKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage curriculum teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and positive learner outcomes.Oversee the successful delivery of Adult Skills Fund and GLA-funded programmes.Drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through robust quality assurance processes.Lead SAR and QIP processes, using performance data to secure continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with funding regulations, audit requirements and learner tracking expectations.Promote safeguarding, Prevent and learner welfare across all provision.Work closely with employers, stakeholders and senior leaders to develop responsive curriculum solutions aligned to labour market needs.Line manage teaching and support staff, supporting performance, development and engagement.
\nAbout You
\nYou will be able to demonstrate:
\nSignificant FE leadership experience within adult learning, employability, skills or vocational education.A strong track record in curriculum management and quality improvement.Experience of funding compliance, audit readiness and performance management.Expertise in teaching, learning and assessment processes.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.Experience of managing teams and leading change within an FE environment.A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards) and relevant professional qualifications.
