Conveyancing Legal Assistant

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a Legal Firm in Whitley Bay, for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant / Post Completion Assistant to join their established property team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to join a well-established local law firm and play an important role in supporting the smooth progression and completion of property transactions.The RoleWorking alongside the residential conveyancing team, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and post-completion duties, ensuring files are progressed accurately and efficiently through to closure.Your responsibilities will include:Managing post-completion processes from completion through to file closurePreparing and submitting Land Registry applicationsDealing with SDLT submissions and related documentationCompleting and checking post-completion paperworkLiaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other third partiesMaintaining accurate and up-to-date file recordsAssisting fee earners with the administration and progression of residential property mattersEnsuring deadlines are met and matters are progressed efficientlyProviding a high level of client service throughout the processAbout YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:Previous experience within a residential conveyancing environmentStrong knowledge of post-completion proceduresExperience dealing with Land Registry applications and SDLTExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to manage deadlines and prioritise a busy workloadStrong written and verbal communication skillsA professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and third partiesExperience using legal case management systemsMost importantly, you will be someone who understands the conveyancing process and can hit the ground running within a busy property team.What's on Offer?£25,000£28,000 salary, depending on experiencePermanent, full-time positionEstablished and reputable local law firmFriendly and supportive working environmentOpportunity to develop your career within residential conveyancingWhitley Bay locationTPBN1_UKTJ
