Job Description
If you have experience in managing light rail, heavy rail or wider rail industry / infrastructure projects through delivery and implementation, we have an opportunity for you to join our team. To carry out the requirements of this Senior Project Manager role you will also have a good working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts and manage project budgets, costs, risks and programmes contractors, consultants and stakeholders. This role can be based in our London, Birmingham, Bristol, Oxford or Manchester offices - and we are able to consider other Ridge office locations.What you need to do to be effective in this roleLead in allocation of actions, tracking, monitoring and reporting project progressLead major projects and frameworks, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standardsBuild strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with governance, risk, and assurance processes across all projectsRepresent Ridge and our Clients on projects and programmesUpdate contractual milestones in project systemsEnsure the document and project management plans are set upFollow up the project progress and inform the main stakeholders if there is any deviationThe skills and experience you need to have for this roleAbility to support to manage projects, programmes and portfolios from inception to close out. You will demonstrate: Experience in managing light rail, heavy rail or wider rail industry / infrastructure projects through delivery and implementationExperience in managing contractors, consultants and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomesKnowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contractsExperience in managing project budgets, costs, risks and programmesStrong communication and relationship building skillsThe ability to produce clear reports and present information to a variety of audiencesAn understanding of CDM responsibilities from a client perspectiveProficiency in using Microsoft OfficeAdditional experience that would be beneficial includes:Consultancy construction project management experienceThe ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationshipsProficient in the use of MS Office and similar digital softwareKnowledge of project management plansPrevious experience of working on civil engineering schemesExperience of working client side or as ConsultantQualifications:Diploma/BSc/MSc in project managementYou will ideally be working (or considering working) towards achieving one of the qualifications below):MRICSMCIOBMAPMPRINCE2TPBN1_UKTJ
