Job Description

\n

Procurement Manager/Senior Procurement Manager

\n

Procurement | Hands-On Delivery

\n

Location: Berkshire or Leicester (2 days a week)
Contract: 6 months +
Day Rate: up to £650 a day

\n

I am looking for an experienced Procurement Manager/Senior Procurement Manager to join the team and make an immediate impact across a range of procurement projects.

\n

This is a hands-on procurement delivery role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail; leading sourcing activity, managing tenders, negotiating with suppliers and delivering tangible commercial outcomes.

\n

If you're a procurement professional who likes to "do the doing", this could be a great opportunity.

\n

The Role

\n

You'll work within established procurement strategies, taking business requirements and turning them into practical procurement solutions.

\n

You'll be responsible for supporting and leading multiple procurement projects, working closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver commercially robust outcomes.

\n

This is not a procurement transformation, operating model or governance-focused position. The priority is someone who can get involved quickly, take ownership and deliver.

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

We're looking for a broad procurement generalist with strong recent experience across the full procurement life cycle.

\n

You'll ideally have:

\n
    \n
  • Recent, hands-on end-to-end procurement experience
  • \n
  • Strong experience across sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contracting
  • \n
  • Experience managing RFI, RFQ and RFP processes
  • \n
  • A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to link procurement decisions to wider business objectives
  • \n
  • Proven supplier negotiation and contract award experience
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • \n
  • The ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
  • \n
  • Experience working within established procurement strategies and translating them into effective delivery
  • \n
  • A track record of delivering measurable savings and commercial value
  • \n
\n

Direct Procurement Experience

\n

Recent direct procurement experience is highly desirable and will be prioritised.

\n

Particularly relevant experience includes:

\n
    \n
  • Direct Materials
  • \n
  • Electrical Components
  • \n
  • Engineering Components
  • \n
  • PPE
  • \n
  • Operational Materials
  • \n
  • Manufacturing Supply Chains
  • \n
  • Low Cost Country Sourcing
  • \n
\n

If you have recent ownership of direct spend categories alongside broader procurement experience, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
