Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist with an interest in lymphoma and General Haematology to join the team at Withybush General hospital. With a newly developed job plan for this position, offering a dynamic and rewarding role, we welcome all applicants to apply. We are looking for a highly committed and motivated individual to join our Haematology team as we start to introduce subspecialisation into the health board. Our dedicated and forward-looking team of 7 consultants provide a comprehensive haematology service in the four hospitals in an area of outstanding beauty. This post will introduce a Lymphoma subspecialty to our team as part of a redesign of haematology services across the Health Board and will continue to develop as part of the wider transformation process. Support for the post includes Associate Specialists, Specialty Doctors, Clinical Fellow as well as foundation Trainees. The team also includes Haematology CNS team and Specialist pharmacists.Our staff are at the heart of the quality of our service and are looking to add to our numbers. We are looking for someone to bring additional expertise and a passion to provide excellence.Main duties of the jobThe duties outlined below are not definitive and may be changed in accordance with the needs of the service.The appointee is required to be GMC registered on the specialist register or be expected to obtain CCT within 6 months.The appointee will contribute to all aspects of the general haematology and haemo-oncology work including participation in departmental meetings and on-call rota.10 Sessions with 20% non-clinical work (SPA) per week within job planClinics in other hospital sites will be required (virtual clinics are an option).
