Trading Desktop Support Engineer – HFT, AmsterdamEuros 85,000 + bonusQuant Capital is working with a leading proprietary trading firm looking to hire a Desktop Systems Engineer to support a high-performance front-office environment.About the RoleThis role sits directly alongside the business. You’ll be supporting traders and critical systems in real time, owning issues end-to-end and improving the technology stack they rely on. The environment is fast, demanding and highly technical. You’ll need to think clearly under pressure and fix problems properly.ResponsibilitiesSupporting a front-office trading environment with a focus on speed and reliabilityManaging and troubleshooting trading applications and user systemsOwning user onboarding, hardware rollout and device lifecycleWorking closely with trading, engineering and infrastructure teams globallyDriving improvements across the user environment and toolingAutomating workflows and reducing manual interventionEvaluating and introducing new technologies where they add valueWhat we are looking forStrong experience supporting users and applications across Windows, Linux and macOSBackground working in a trading or similarly high-pressure environmentComfortable operating directly with front-office users and time-critical systemsStrong troubleshooting skills across OS, hardware and applicationsScripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python or similarAble to take ownership, prioritise effectively and deliver under pressureExperience with DNS and DHCP Nice to havePowerShell or Python scriptingExperience with Active Directory or Windows ServerExposure to endpoint management toolingThis is a front-line engineering role in a serious trading environment.
