Job summaryAn opportunity has arisen for two candidates to join our Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, & Infection Prevention and Control team.This is a new post to strengthen our existing Infection team. The post holder will join an existing team of 7(5.7 WTE) consultants working at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust sites.It is anticipated that the post holder will work with the existing Consultants in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology to provide a high quality clinical, laboratory and infectious diseases consult service at Chelsea and Westminster and West Middlesex Hospitals. The post holder is also expected to take on the role of Infection Prevention and Control doctor for the Chelsea site.The appointed individual is expected to uphold the Trust values to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care to our patients across the Trust.Applicants must be registered medical practitioners and on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK.Any candidate who is unable, for personal reasons, to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the role: Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, is detailed within the attached job description.About usChelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of England's top-performing and safest trusts.
