The successful candidate will play a key role within the depot operation, ensuring all hire equipment is received, maintained, tested, stored and prepared for customer dispatch to the highest possible standard.   • Receiving, unloading and safely storing hire equipment within the depot, ensuring stock is organised efficiently and accurately.
  • \n
  • Cleaning, maintaining and testing hire equipment and associated ancillaries in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • \n
  • Inspecting equipment to ensure it is fully operational and prepared for customer dispatch.
  • \n
  • Accurately picking equipment for hire contracts based on fulfilment requirements.
  • \n
  • Updating internal computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records and equipment tracking.
  • \n
  • Supporting the loading and dispatch of hire equipment while ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained.
  • \n
  • Maintaining the presentation and quality of equipment throughout the preparation process.
  • \n
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • \n
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the depot and ensuring all work areas remain clean, organised and safe.
  • \n
  • Adhering to all company health and safety policies, including manual handling procedures and safe working practices.
  • \n
  • Participating in a planned depot standby and call-out rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.

  • Undertaking any additional duties required to support the wider depot operation and business objectives.
  • \n
What You Will Need to Apply: The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working within a warehouse, depot, logistics, engineering or equipment hire environment where maintaining equipment and supporting operational activities have formed part of their day-to-day responsibilities. Applicants should possess excellent organisational skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks within a busy operational setting while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Candidates should be confident using computer systems, diagnostic applications and Microsoft Office to update inventory records and support depot operations. Previous forklift experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential. Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills will be essential, together with the ability to work independently when required. Applicants should also be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties and committed to maintaining a safe working environment at all times. The successful individual will demonstrate a proactive approach, a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
