The Role

\n

As a Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload from instruction through to conclusion, advising a broad client base on a range of contentious matters. You will work closely with colleagues across the firm while maintaining responsibility for your own files and client relationships.

Your caseload will include:

    \n
  • Contractual disputes
  • \n
  • Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
  • \n
  • Property and boundary disputes
  • \n
  • Professional negligence claims
  • \n
  • Company and partnership disputes
  • \n
  • Contested probate claims
  • \n
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation and negotiation
  • \n

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.
  • \n
  • Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
  • \n
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, court documents and correspondence.
  • \n
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediation and court proceedings.
  • \n
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and managing expectations effectively.
  • \n
  • Recording time accurately and meeting billing objectives.
  • \n
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm procedures.
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • \n
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members and support staff.
  • \n
  • Participating in networking, marketing and business development activities.
  • \n
  • Keeping up to date with changes in litigation law and procedure.
  • \n

About You

\n

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years' PQE, although candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.

You will have:

  • Experience handling a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters.
  • \n
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent client care and relationship management abilities.
  • \n
