Corporate Restructuring Director – Birmingham Location: Birmingham (hybrid working available)Level: Director / Senior DirectorService line: Corporate Restructuring / Insolvency (Advisory + Formal appointments)Cherry Professional has partnered with a high-performing accountancy practice in Birmingham in order to recruit a Corporate Restructuring Director to help lead and grow its restructuring offering. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced restructuring professional who enjoys combining technical delivery, client leadership, and business development, with a clear route to PartnershipThe OpportunityYou’ll take a leading role in delivering a broad range of corporate restructuring assignments, working closely with Partners and the wider advisory/tax teams. The remit will be a mix of hands-on case delivery and market-facing growth, with autonomy to shape the service line and develop a strong Midlands profile.Key Responsibilities\n

- Lead and deliver corporate restructuring workstreams including:\n
- \n
- Independent business reviews (IBRs), options reviews, stakeholder support and turnaround planning \n
- Contingency planning, cashflow/working capital advisory, short-term liquidity support \n
- Formal insolvency assignments (where licensed), including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, CVAs and advisory around distress scenarios \n
\n - Act as a senior point of contact for directors, lenders, and key stakeholders \n
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of restructuring professionals (and collaborate with other service lines) \n
- Drive pipeline through referrals and new business activity across Birmingham and the wider Midlands (banks, PE, lawyers, corporates, advisers) \n
- Support the Partners with proposals, pitching, fee negotiation and strategic growth initiatives \n

- Strong track record in corporate restructuring (advisory and/or formal insolvency) \n
- Proven ability to lead assignments, manage stakeholders and deliver commercially sound outcomes \n
- Demonstrable business development capability (referral network, origination, or strong market presence) \n
- JIEB qualified \n
- Confident people leader with experience developing high-performing teams \n
- UK driving licence and ability to travel locally as required \n
