Our client is a respected organisation operating within the facilities management and infrastructure sector, and they’re looking for a driven, commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is more than a role focused on costs and contracts. You’ll be working in a complex, fast-moving environment where commercial insight, collaboration and sound judgement are key to delivering successful projects and achieving value for money.

The Role

\n

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role across the full commercial lifecycle, supporting a range of facilities and infrastructure projects.

\n

You’ll be responsible for:

\n
    \n
  • Scoping and pricing voids and project works
  • \n
  • Managing commercial reporting, cost modelling and forecasting
  • \n
  • Monitoring costs, risks and financial performance
  • \n
  • Managing change control and ensuring robust commercial governance
  • \n
  • Working with operational teams, clients and supply-chain partners
  • \n
  • Ensuring works are delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget
  • \n
  • Supporting commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
  • \n
  • Building strong, effective stakeholder relationships
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and developing commercial best practice
  • \n
\n

What You’ll Bring

\n

NEC experience is essential. You’ll need a strong understanding of NEC contracts and the confidence to apply your knowledge effectively within a live commercial environment.

You’ll also bring:

  • Commercial experience within construction, property maintenance, facilities management or infrastructure
  • \n
  • Proven experience working with NEC contracts
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of pricing, cost control and financial analysis
  • \n
  • A Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • \n
  • Excellent commercial and analytical skills
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
  • \n
  • Experience managing change, risk, forecasting and commercial reporting
  • \n
