A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for an Automation Engineer to join the team. You will be a fully engaged team member and will assist the engineering team to maintain site electrical standards and ensure the site remains compliant with electrical regulations.
\n\nThe successful candidate will:
\n- \n
- Drive CI initiatives with the electrical and automation agenda. \n
- Support and train engineering teams with maintenance and fault-finding activities. \n
- Be a custodian of electrical documentation, drawing and software backups to the agreed site standard. \n
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure site is always compliant against electrical standards. \n
- Work with the maintenance planner to schedule electrical projects. \n
- Ensure that we hold the correct electrical critical spare parts, and the consignment stock is maintained. \n
- Supervise engineers and outside contractors. \n
What we need from you:
\n- \n
- Recognised electrical/automation apprenticeship \n
- Qualified to a minimum HNC level (or equivalent) electrical/controls discipline. \n
- Advanced PLC Skills – Allen Bradley (Rockwell Logix) \n
- Experienced with Allen Bradley servo drives, Inverters and Network controls \n
- Understanding of control systems and the ability to optimize them \n
- Experience in food manufacturing is desireable \n
