Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its London leadership team based in Uxbridge, North-West London, reporting directly to the General Counsel. This is much more than a standard commercial legal role. You'll play a key role in building and developing the legal function, partnering with senior executives across the business and supporting strategic M&A activity

The role of Senior Legal Counsel will include:

• Providing legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters within the FMCG sector.
\n
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the organisation's interests.
\n
• Advise on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring the business operates within legal boundaries.
\n
• Manage legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate potential challenges.
\n
• Support the business with intellectual property and data protection matters.
\n
• Collaborate with external legal advisors when specialised expertise is required.
\n
• Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on legal best practices.
\n
• Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the FMCG industry and advise accordingly.

Profile

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

• Qualified Solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction.
\n
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, particularly in the FMCG industry.
\n
• Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
\n
• Proven ability to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
\n
• A proactive and pragmatic approach to providing legal advice.
