Childcare SolicitorLocation: Coventry A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its Care Department in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed solicitor with experience in public law children and childcare matters to manage their own caseload and provide high-quality legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients and families.Benefits

The Role

\n
• Manage a varied caseload of childcare and public law children matters
\n
• Advise and represent parents, grandparents, guardians and other eligible clients
\n
• Handle care proceedings, Interim Care Orders, Emergency Protection Orders, Supervision Orders, Special Guardianship Orders and adoption matters
\n
• Prepare applications, statements, position statements and other court documentation
\n
• Attend court hearings and undertake advocacy where appropriate
\n
• Work closely with counsel, local authorities, courts, experts and other professionals
\n
• Provide compassionate, clear and practical advice to clients
\n
• Ensure files, deadlines and Legal Aid requirements are managed effectively
\n
• Contribute to the development and reputation of the Care Department
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
\n
• Experience in childcare/public law children matters
\n
• Strong knowledge of childcare legislation and court processes
\n
• Able to manage an independent caseload
\n
• Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills
\n
• Legal Aid and duty scheme experience would be advantageous
\n
• Membership of the Association of Lawyers for Children or Resolution would be desirable
\n
