Garage Door Technician


Join Precision Door Service as a Garage Door Technician and become the trusted expert homeowners rely on for repairs, recommendations, and exceptional service. This role combines technical expertise, customer service, and consultative sales to diagnose garage door issues, present solutions, and deliver a positive customer experience.

Technicians will complete scheduled residential service appointments, identify customer needs, provide repair recommendations, and educate homeowners on available solutions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, professional, and comfortable building relationships and closing sales opportunities.


Compensation (San Diego):

-$25/hour during training (up to 8 weeks)

-After training: 100% commission
-Weekly payroll (every Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide exceptional customer service during residential service appointments

-Diagnose garage door and opener issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions

-Present service options, educate customers on products and warranties, and close sales opportunities

-Complete repairs, installations, and service work accurately and efficiently

-Prepare estimates, review work orders, and collect payment as needed

-Maintain product knowledge of garage doors, openers, accessories, and related services

-Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked company vehicle


Requirements:

-Experience in sales, customer service, home services, construction, or a related field preferred

-Strong communication and relationship-building skills

-Comfortable explaining technical information and recommending solutions

-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

-Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

-Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed

-Ability to lift up to 100 lbs


Work Environment:
-Field-based role with scheduled residential appointments

-Requires driving throughout the service area

-Exposure to varying weather conditions, dirt, dust, noise, equipment, and other onsite conditions
