Job Summary
A growing logistics and transportation operation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Dispatcher/CSR Support professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced drayage customer service representative who understands container movement, carrier communication, dispatch support, terminal systems, and the importance of accurate shipment visibility.
The Dispatcher/CSR Support role is a key customer-facing position that helps keep freight moving smoothly from order entry through final delivery and empty return. This opportunity offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, strong communication across departments, and the potential to build a long-term career path in logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries by phone, email, or in person.
- Process customer orders accurately from order entry through delivery completion and empty return appointment scheduling.
- Monitor shipments, containers, terminal updates, and carrier activity to support on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve service issues and provide timely updates.
- Manage customer complaints, accessorial approvals, documentation, and TMS updates with accuracy and urgency.
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications, transactions, shipment status, and required backups.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
