School Substitutes
The School Substitute provides temporary support within the school district to ensure continuity of instruction, supervision, and daily operations when regular staff members are absent. Substitute personnel may be assigned to classrooms, offices, transportation, custodial services, food service, or other school-related areas based on district needs and qualifications. Responsibilities may include following lesson plans, supervising students, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, assisting with daily activities, completing assigned duties, and communicating important information to appropriate school staff. Substitutes are expected to demonstrate professionalism, dependability, flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and administrators. They must follow district policies, procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards at all times. Successful candidates should be adaptable and comfortable working in varying school environments and assignments. Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred, but requirements may vary depending on the assignment.
