UPMC Altoona Urology Opportunity!

Our organization is seeking to hire two full-time urologists to become part of the Urology Department located in Altoona, PA.

• The clinic is situated within the UPMC Altoona hospital.
• The current team comprises 2.5 physicians along with 2 advanced practice providers.
• Services offered include general urology, urologic oncology, female urology, and robotic surgery.
• In-office procedures include MRI fusion biopsy, transperineal prostate biopsy, and urodynamics.
• The call schedule consists of six weeknights each month, with no weekend obligations.
• A hospitalist service is responsible for patient admissions.
• Physicians will be affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Urology.

• UPMC Altoona features 12 operating rooms, a specialized cystoscopy suite equipped with fixed fluoroscopy, and an advanced Da Vinci XI Robotic Surgical System.
• The on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center includes 6 operating rooms.
• This facility is part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center network and serves as a 400-bed regional healthcare system for a six-county area in west-central Pennsylvania.
• UPMC Altoona is designated as a Level III trauma center, a regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission-certified stroke center.
• The medical staff comprises around 400 primary care and specialty physicians.
• The hospital employs a 23-physician hospitalist team, a comprehensive intensivist staff, and a group of interventional radiologists.
