Job Description
A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available in Fairbanks, AK, starting approximately mid-September. This contract position offers 8-hour shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, including weekends. Typical scheduling ensures that an 11:00 AM shift is not immediately followed by a 7:00 AM shift. Holiday shifts are occasionally required and are typically shorter, lasting 4-5 hours.
Responsibilities include accurately processing standard hospital pharmacy orders and verifying products to ensure patient safety and compliance with protocols. Experience with hospital pharmacy systems, particularly Cerner, is preferred.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting
- Proficient with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification
- Experience with Cerner system is advantageous
- Active Alaska Pharmacist license is required, or a temporary AK license is acceptable. Candidates without an active AK license must apply for one within 24 hours of offer acceptance
