Hartrick is a full-service, AAHA-accredited small-animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, diagnostic, and urgent-care services for dogs and cats. We are also Fear Free-focused and Cat Friendly Certified®.

What You'll Do\n

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you'll play an essential role in providing high-quality patient care while working closely with our doctors and veterinary team.

• Provide nursing care and treatment for hospitalized and outpatient patients
\n
• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
\n
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
\n
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care
\n
• Perform and assist with dental procedures
\n
• Obtain and process laboratory samples
\n
• Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound
\n
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide treatments
\n
• Assist with urgent-care cases and patient triage
\n
• Educate clients on medications, treatments, and home care
\n
• Maintain accurate medical records
\n
• Collaborate with doctors and the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care

What You'll Bring to the Team\n

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
\n
• A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
\n
• Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.

• A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
\n
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
\n
• One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
