Qualifications-
Required:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Possession of a valid New Jersey State license.
- ARRT and/or NMTCB certification.
- BLS certification.

Preferred:
- At least two years of experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting.
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT certification.
This role is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week during daytime hours.
Essential Functions- Adhere to standards set by the hospital and relevant state and federal regulatory bodies.
- Complete special assignments from the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist the nuclear physician with specialized imaging procedures.
- Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and that results are valid before patient release.
- Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform quality control on gamma cameras according to departmental protocols, promptly reporting any issues to the lead technologist.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients, including expected wait times, while ensuring their comfort during the process. Utilize prescribed technical parameters to obtain optimal images.
- Verify patient identities (both inpatient and outpatient) according to hospital standard operating procedures before initiating any procedures.
- Conduct all hot lab functions, including the receipt, use, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, strictly following vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations.
