LPN- Corrections

Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide essential medical care within a medium-security male correctional facility in Rome, NY. This role requires strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a secure environment.

Job Functions:

\n

\n
• Shift & Hours: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 06:00)
\n
• Conduct sick call and triage medical complaints
\n
• Administer medications, including insulin
\n
• Perform wound care and manage peripheral lines
\n
• Respond to emergencies (Narcan administration, asthma rescue, physical force injuries, etc.)
\n
• Manage tool control and maintain safety protocols
\n
• Provide care for employee injuries and accidents
\n
• Complete screening, reporting, and documentation requirements
\n
• Coordinate emergency room transfers when necessary
\n
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment discussions
\n
• Support infection control and isolation precautions
\n

\n

Job Requirements:

\n

\n
• Completion of state-approved LPN program
\n
• Current LPN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain)
\n
• 2 years of LPN experience is required
\n
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
\n
