Job Description
This per diem pharmacist opportunity supports a specialty HIV/AIDS and 340B pharmacy operating in a retail setting. Coverage is needed from August 20 through September 17, providing flexible work during this period. The pharmacy is located locally in the Pearl/Jackson, MS area, so preference is for candidates able to work nearby.
Key responsibilities include performing typical retail pharmacy duties with an emphasis on supervising pharmacy technicians. The pharmacist will have technician support dedicated to assisting workload management. Experience with specialty HIV/AIDS medications is highly valued, as this pharmacy focuses on this patient population. Candidates are encouraged to detail their familiarity with these medications in their application.
Familiarity with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software is preferred. Please confirm any experience with this system when applying.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensure as a pharmacist in Mississippi or eligible for licensure
- Experience in retail pharmacy operations
- Supervisory experience, particularly with pharmacy technicians
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS specialty medications strongly preferred
- Experience with Pioneer Rx software is a plus
