Payroll Specialist (part time) | Hybrid in DMV area

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to identify a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll processing experience who is comfortable working independently and has hands-on experience with Paycom.

What You'll Do

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule using Paycom
• Review and audit timesheets, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy
• Assist with new hire, termination, and employee status changes in the payroll system
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed
• Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processing

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong experience using Paycom
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, wage laws, and compliance requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPP certification is a plus but not required
