Pharmacy Technician in Paso Robles, CA

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support operations in a hospital setting near Paso Robles, CA, with duties performed in a nearby location. This contract role extends for 13 weeks, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week on variable days and afternoons. The Director of Pharmacy offers flexible scheduling to accommodate the technician’s needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding accurately and efficiently
• Restocking Pyxis medication dispensing units to ensure availability
• Fielding incoming pharmacy calls, providing excellent support to staff and patients
• Managing inventory levels and documentation
• Assisting the pharmacist in daily operations and patient care tasks

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Current California Pharmacist license is required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare teams

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoons, with flexibility available based on technician preferences
