Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim Pharmacy Operations Manager role is available for a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This 3 to 6 month contract assignment requires an immediate start and offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned pharmacy professional with strong leadership capabilities.

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, this position is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care. This includes oversight of clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems operations within the Pharmacy department. The Operations Manager will plan, organize, coordinate, and control workflow, as well as hire and train appropriate staff members. Effective communication with the Pharmacy Management team and collaboration with physicians and hospital personnel are essential aspects of this role.

Key responsibilities include maintaining adherence to all relevant state and federal pharmacy regulations and leveraging hospital and community resources to meet operational demands. Additionally, this position will perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy in their absence, requiring a strong ability to lead and manage the department autonomously.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical care delivery and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage clinical, financial, and administrative pharmacy operations

  • Experience within hospital or large healthcare systems preferred
