Job Description
A specialty retail pharmacy focused on HIV/AIDS and 340B services seeks a dedicated pharmacist for per diem coverage from August 20 through September 17 in Jackson, MS. This role offers the opportunity to work in a meaningful environment supporting patients with specialized medication needs, including HIV/AIDS therapies. The position includes typical retail pharmacy responsibilities with supervision of pharmacy technicians and collaboration with pharmacy staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and responsibly in a retail setting
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage specialty HIV/AIDS medication therapies with attention to patient needs
- Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing and inventory management
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist with experience in retail pharmacy
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS specialty medications strongly preferred—candidates should detail their experience in this area in their application
- Experience with Pioneer Rx software is a plus; please include any relevant expertise
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
