RN - OPWDD/School

WCS Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a well-established social services organization supporting a school serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Job Responsibilities
\n As a valued member of the healthcare team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

\n
• Provide triage, first aid, and nursing care to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
\n
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable OPWDD, OMH, and DOH regulations.
\n
• Adhere to HIPAA and all patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with families, school staff, interdisciplinary teams, and outside healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
\n
• Promote a safe, supportive, and healthy school environment for all students.
\n

Minimum Qualifications

\n
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
\n
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with the OPWDD or I/DD population.
\n
• Pediatric nursing experience required
\n
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
