Job Description
A multifaceted pharmacist role offers the opportunity to engage in retail and clinical pharmacy services across outpatient, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and inpatient settings. This assignment provides an enriching clinical experience with a diverse scope of practice, ideal for a licensed California pharmacist ready for an ASAP start.

Duration: 13 weeks
Systems: CPSI, Evident CPOE, Pyxis Automated Dispensing Unit
Responsibilities:
- Rotate through outpatient, SNF, and inpatient pharmacy services to provide comprehensive medication management
- Review, interpret, and dispense medications in compliance with professional standards and regulations
- Counsel patients and provide drug information to healthcare team members
- Perform monthly medication regimen reviews and support quality improvement initiatives in SNF
- Monitor therapies through clinical interventions and therapeutic drug monitoring, including renal dosing adjustments
- Verify and prepare medication orders, supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks, and manage workflow
- Maintain compliance with California Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations
- Attend code blue emergencies while on duty
- Document clinical interventions and monitoring accurately and completely
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Active and current California Pharmacist License (mandatory)
- Minimum one year of pharmacy experience
- Proficient with automated dispensing units, IV laminar flow hood, and electronic health record systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages, such as Spanish, are preferred
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable rotating across varied pharmacy settings including outpatient, SNF, and inpatient
- Experience with CPSI, Evident system, and Pyxis is advantageous
- Self-directed with strong prioritization skills
- Experienced in supervising pharmacy staff
- Familiar with code blue responses
- Local to Bakersfield or willing to commute
