ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in San Rafael, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support in an upper elementary Special Day Class (SDC) while making a meaningful impact on student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

This assignment provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative educational team focused on student success, independence, and access to appropriate educational services.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time

NSY 2026–2027 School Year

Upper Elementary Special Day Class (SDC)

Qualifications:

Valid California CTC Mild/Moderate credential required

Experience working in an SDC setting preferred

Upper elementary experience preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation

Ability to create structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments

Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and educational needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and California state standards

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs

Implement appropriate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions

Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation

Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Create a structured, positive, and supportive SDC classroom environment
