Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Pay Rate: $40-$55 (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time
Work Setting: In-Person
Location: San Jose, California
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified, credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school team in San Jose. This full-time, in-person position is an unexpected opening and offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated speech-language professional to make a meaningful impact on student communication and development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with moderate-to-severe students, students who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, and multilingual students. This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with diverse student needs and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services appropriate to your credentials
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals
Provide therapy services to students with a variety of communication needs
Support students with moderate-to-severe disabilities and communication needs
Utilize and support AAC devices and communication systems as appropriate
Provide culturally and linguistically responsive services to multilingual students
Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, and progress reports
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions, as appropriate
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
Qualifications:
Active and appropriate California Speech-Language Pathologist credentials required
School-based experience preferred
Experience working with moderate-to-severe students preferred
Experience with AAC devices preferred
Experience working with multilingual students preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Passion for supporting student growth and communication development
