\n Range 24 ($5,350.77 - $7,026.74) per month based on the current AFT Classified Professionals - Salary Schedule.\n

- New employees will begin on Step E ($5,350.77). \n
- Salary negotiation is not allowed. \n
- Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. \n
- This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). \n
- Excellent benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents. \n

Desired Qualifications:\n
\n

- Significant upper division coursework or a bachelor's degree in general biology OR anatomy OR physiology or a closely related field; OR additional two years of relevant work experience, preferred. \n
- Demonstrated competence in laboratory techniques and using and maintaining equipment commonly required for community college laboratories in general biology OR anatomy OR physiology. \n
- Demonstrated competence in the application of laboratory safety guidelines involving the preparation and handling of materials and chemicals used in anatomy OR physiology labs, including proper handling, storage and disposal of chemical, biological, and hazardous wastes. \n
- Demonstrated competence working with and maintaining cadavers and embalming materials. \n
- The skill to order, receive, organize and inventory supplies, as well as the ability to plan and organize to meet work schedules and deadlines for multiple course sections. \n
- The ability to train, direct and provide support for laboratory professionals and student staff. \n
- The utilization of standard office and web-based technology applications as needed or required. \n
- The ability to work independently with little direction. \n
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. \n
- Skills to establish and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with others to ensure a safe and equitable work environment. \n
- Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and classified professionals. \n
