Job Description
Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) is seeking an OB-GYN Physician to provide comprehensive care to patients across hospital settings while supporting continuity and coordination of care through the Patient Centered Health Home model.
\nThis position provides medical and surgical care to women throughout the continuum of the hospital experience, including pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive health conditions, emergency care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, triage, and gynecologic consultation services.

Primary Responsibilities
\nPatient Care & Clinical Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Provide examination, diagnosis, treatment, and delivery of hospitalized OB-GYN patients, including but not limited to patients in: \n
- Emergency Department \n
- Labor and Delivery \n
- Postpartum floor \n
- Triage \n
- GYN consultation services \n
- Manage patients throughout the continuum of the hospital experience. \n
- Provide medical and surgical care to women, including care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. \n
- Order treatments and tests and consult with specialty physicians and primary care physicians when appropriate. \n
- Assure continuity of care by communicating with Family HealthCare Network outpatient providers and support staff regarding: \n
- Admission \n
- Patient status and progress \n
- Discharge \n
- Relevant orders and prescriptions \n
- Maintain affiliation with a local acute care facility and assure 24-hour on-call service is provided for patients. \n
- Provide care with a high level of customer service to patients and families. \n
- Remain accountable for patient status as measured by relevant clinical quality measures. \n

Quality, Collaboration & Administrative Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Participate in medical staff quality improvement and review activities at the hospital and FHCN related to relevant clinical measures. \n
- Participate in appropriate FHCN meetings and staff education. \n
- Ensure a three-month schedule is provided to the assigned Medical Director. \n
- Follow all relevant and appropriate FHCN policies and procedures as well as assigned hospital policies and procedures. \n
- Consistently demonstrate courtesy when interacting with patients, family members, support staff, and Network staff. \n
- Ensure all billing documentation is submitted accurately and in a timely manner. \n
- Assist with the preceptorship of A.T. Still medical students and/or residency providers, when applicable. \n
- Meet Network and credentialing expectations for licensure and employment. \n
- Adhere to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy, recognizing that regular attendance is considered an essential function of all FHCN positions. Absenteeism includes not being at work or failing to attend a paid workshop, training, or event unless the absence is protected by law. \n
- Be able to present to and work at any FHCN location, either at the beginning of a shift or during a shift, based on business need. \n
- Perform other duties as assigned. \n
Professional & Technical Knowledge
\nEffective June 1, 2026, all individuals hired into this role must meet the following requirements:
\nCandidates must possess specific advanced knowledge and skills, including written and verbal communication skills, computational, computer, technical, and mathematical knowledge, frequently acquired through one of the following:
\n- \n
- Completion of a doctoral-level degree program with a recognized major and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; or \n
- Successful attainment and maintenance of a valid, active professional license required for the role, issued by the appropriate governing or regulatory body. \n
Performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position requires the equivalent of extensive formal training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, including an understanding of the application of the theories and practices of the profession to the operations of the organization.
\nThis is typically obtained through a:

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree; or \n
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. \n
Licensure & Certification
\n- \n
- Licensed in the State of California as an OB-GYN \n
- Board eligibility or board certification in OB-GYN may be required or desired for certain positions \n
Technical Skills
\nCandidates should have the ability to:
\n- \n
- Create highly complex documents in Microsoft Word, including linking multiple files and embedding objects linked to other documents. \n
- Use advanced Microsoft Excel functions to create and manage databases, including creating standardized reports and linking multiple worksheets and workbooks. \n
- Develop sophisticated Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, including embedded objects, transitions, and other presentation elements. \n
Communication Skills
