About Hilton Mechanical We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands-on work. We invest in training and always give our employees the opportunity to expand into new areas of the trade. Overview We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. Work will primarily be performed at shops and construction sites in Cartersville, GA and Alpharetta, GA. Travel to other jobsites and shops may be needed. Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed. All candidates must pass a hands-on 6G weld test to be considered for this position. Testing is done at our shop on 2" pipe in the 6G fixed position, open root with no backing. We test carbon steel (TIG root, 7018 cap) and stainless (GTAW) as two separate coupons. The full weld procedures are provided when your test is scheduled. Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr Requirements Lay out and route piping from isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and field conditions Set hangers, supports, and anchors Test piping systems for leaks and ensure compliance with codes and project specs Learn new fabrication and fitting processes and techniques Maintain consistent quality requirements Operate and collaborate effectively under foremen Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and other work permits Coordinate with other trades on active construction sites Pass a hands-on 6G pipe weld test — carbon steel combo and/or GTAW stainless Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial mechanical work Able to read and work from isometric drawings, mechanical plans, and submittals Strong fit-up and layout skills Familiarity with working on active construction jobsites Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Forklift, scissor lift, fall protection, or boom lift certifications Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications Consistent overtime opportunities Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid holidays and PTO 401(k) Select company provided tools Steady work with a growing company Opportunities to cross-train into plastic fusion, foreman, and lead roles
