School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Portage, Indiana
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact this academic year by providing essential speech-language services to students across multiple schools near Valparaiso, IN. Several contract-based opportunities are available for experienced SLPs (CCC preferred; SLPA roles are not open at this time) interested in fostering student communication and language development in supportive school environments.
Enjoy a flexible schedule working approximately 7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Three SLP positions are open, each offering a rewarding caseload and the opportunity to collaborate closely with other professionals and potential SLA support:
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP licensure in Indiana and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Strong background in K-8 or early childhood speech-language services
- Experience in school-based settings highly desired
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Position Details:
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate work-life balance
- Caseloads ranging from approximately 70 to 100 students, depending on placement
- Diverse school settings: elementary, intermediate, and middle school opportunities
- Opportunities for SLA support, contingent on site and licensure
- Engage in direct therapy, progress monitoring, student assessments, and contribute to IEP planning
