Our organization in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Nephrologist to become part of our expanding nephrology team. Our physicians collaborate closely with the region's pioneering kidney transplant program. In this position, the Nephrologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of kidney-related issues, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension, and electrolyte imbalances, while delivering comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Additional duties involve supervising dialysis patients at UPMC Hamot and preparing individuals for kidney transplants, contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on providing outstanding renal care.

· Call Schedule: 1:4
· Average Night Call Volume: Typically, 0-2 calls
· Outpatient Clinic Census: Approximately 12 patients/day (40-minute new patient visits)
· Inpatient Census: Approximately 20-25 patients/day
Qualifications:
- MD/DO from an accredited medical institution
- American Board Eligible, American Board Certified, or Canadian Board Certified in Nephrology
- Ability to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
- A strong commitment to patient-centered care and exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial, as we prioritize delivering high-quality care in a compassionate and professional setting
