Stainless Steel Finisher/Polisher

Whitesburg, GA | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Direct Hire/Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Metal Finisher/Polisher to grind, blend, and polish stainless steel welded joints to create a smooth, professional finish. You’ll use hand and power tools to remove excess weld material, smooth edges, and ensure finished surfaces meet blueprint specifications.

What You’ll Do:

• Grind and smooth stainless steel welds using grinders, sanders, and other power tools
• Blend welds into surrounding stainless steel without damaging the base material
• Buff and polish stainless steel surfaces to achieve brushed, satin, or mirror finishes
• Inspect finished work for imperfections and ensure quality standards are met
• Follow blueprints and product specifications

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experience with stainless steel finishing, polishing, grinding, or welding preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 40lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills
• Buffing out Welds (2 years of experience is required)
• Stainless Steel Finishing (2 years of experience is required)
• Metal Polishing (2 years of experience is required)
• Handheld Power Tool Use (3 years of experience is required)
