About the Role
\nKanPak is seeking an Outside Sanitation Associate to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility grounds and exterior operations. This role is responsible for supporting building and grounds maintenance, waste management, sanitation activities, and minor facility repairs while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in an outdoor environment.
What You'll Do\nMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of outdoor areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and facility grounds
\n Collect, sort, and dispose of recyclable and non-recyclable waste using proper procedures
\n Perform pressure washing and exterior cleaning of buildings and public spaces
\n Perform building and grounds maintenance, including repairs to roofs, walls, siding, and flooring
\n Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in maintenance activities
\n Complete minor electrical repairs, including replacing fixtures, bulbs, outlets, and related components
\n Perform minor plumbing repairs, unclog drains, and assist with line repairs as needed
\n Change filters on heating and air conditioning units and clean exhaust fans
\n Inspect emergency lights, fire extinguishers, handwashing stations, eyewash stations, and emergency showers
\n Perform snow removal, salting, and ice management during winter conditions
\n Complete painting projects inside and outside the facility as needed
\n Follow all safety procedures and support KanPak’s quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction goals
\n Perform other related duties as assigned
High school diploma required
\n Food industry experience preferred (6 months to 1 year)
\n At least 1 year of building and grounds maintenance experience preferred
\n Valid driver's license and ability to maintain driving privileges
\n Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
\n Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, mowers, skid steers, and snow plows preferred
\n Strong work ethic with reliability, accountability, and attention to detail
\n Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision
\n Strong teamwork, initiative, and commitment to safety
\n Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
The Schedule & Setting\n
Shift: 11p-7a Thurs-Sun
\n Work is performed primarily outdoors and throughout facility grounds and buildings
\n Frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing
\n Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
\n Requires operation of maintenance equipment, vehicles, and powered tools
