This per diem pharmacist position offers an opportunity to perform essential retail pharmacy duties with a focus on patient care and medication management. Located in a dynamic Bronx setting, the role involves supervising pharmacy technicians and actively engaging in specialty medication counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily retail pharmacy operations, including supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide medication counseling to patients
• Engage in virtual consultations with patients to discuss PrEP and assess suitability, offering a unique experience in digital patient care
• Manage specialty medications, especially those related to HIV/AIDS, ensuring proper handling and patient education
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing and inventory management

Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting
• Familiarity with HIV/AIDS specialty medications is highly valued; candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience with these medications
• Experience using Pioneer Rx pharmacy software preferred
• Ability to effectively supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians
