Insurance Defense Attorney - Manchester

Join a respected litigation team as a full-time Associate Attorney working in civil litigation. Areas of focus include Professional Liability, Tort and Liability Defense, and Workers' Compensation. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience who is eager to tackle complex legal challenges.

The salary range is $90,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience.

A Day in the Life of an Associate Attorney
  • As a civil litigation Associate Attorney, your role is dynamic and engaging, offering a mix of independent responsibilities and collaborative teamwork. You will:

  • Manage your own caseload from inception through resolution.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while adhering to deadlines.

  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.

  • Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.

  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide case updates and interim status reports.

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare legal memoranda.

  • Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure effective case management.

What Matters Most

To succeed as an Associate Attorney, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Admission to the New Hampshire State Bar.

  • At least 1 year of prior civil litigation experience.

  • Experience practicing in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.

  • Strong advocacy and communication skills.

  • Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions.

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

  • Experience responding to discovery requests.

  • Experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
